AG1 is the best-known greens powder in the UK, and at £79 a month it is also one of the most expensive. If you are looking for an AG1 alternative, the useful questions are what it costs per day, what is declared on the label, and whether you will still be taking it in six months. This guide brings together our earlier AG1 and greens articles into one comparison, with a sourced price-per-day table.
Quick answer
On price per day, Huel Daily Greens (£1.50 on subscription) and GUUDIES (from £1.43 a day, checked 25 October 2026) both cost less than AG1 (£2.63). A powder carries more plant material per serving than a gummy, while a gummy asks nothing of you beyond opening a pouch. None of them replaces vegetables. Compare the labels as well as the price, because these are different products.

What makes a good AG1 alternative?
- A clear amount for each active ingredient. A long ingredient list means little if the amounts are hidden inside a combined blend weight.
- %NRV for each vitamin and mineral, so you can see how much of the daily reference intake you are getting and avoid doubling up with other supplements.
- The standing price, not the first-month price. Most brands in this category run welcome offers.
- A format you will keep using. The best formula does nothing in a tub at the back of the cupboard.
What is in AG1?
AG1 lists around 75 ingredients. The label gives precise amounts for the main vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, vitamin D3, folate, magnesium and zinc. The botanical, mushroom and probiotic content sits inside proprietary blends, where the total weight is declared but the individual amounts are not. That is legal and common across greens powders. It means you can see that an ingredient is present without knowing how much of it you are getting. AG1 is designed to be taken once a day, one scoop mixed with water.
What is in GUUDIES?
GUUDIES is six separate gummies in a daily pouch, each with its amounts declared on the label:
- Daily Greens+: 14 vitamins and minerals plus a 200mg superfood greens blend
- Mushroom Mix: five functional mushrooms
- Marine Collagen: 200mg Type I and III collagen peptides with 100µg biotin. This gummy contains fish
- ACV: 600mg apple cider vinegar with the mother
- Sea Moss: Irish sea moss extract
- Metabolic: saffron, lemon (eriocitrin) and blood orange extracts
Five of the six gummies are vegan. The Marine Collagen gummy is not, because it contains fish collagen, so leave it out if you are vegan or have a fish allergy. The full list with every amount is on the ingredients page.
Powder or gummy: dose versus ease
A scoop of greens powder can carry several grams of dried plant material. A gummy is limited by its pectin base and carries milligrams. Concentrated extracts narrow that gap without closing it. If you want the most plant material per serving, a powder wins.
What a powder asks of you is a scoop, a shaker, 250 to 350ml of water and something to wash up afterwards, every day. Plenty of people keep that going for years. If you have bought a tub before and stopped using it, the format is worth treating as a real factor rather than blaming your discipline. Over months, the number of doses you actually take matters as much as the size of any one dose.
Capsules sit in the middle: no mixing or taste, but a broad formula often means several pills per serving.
Do you need a greens powder at all?
Not necessarily. A portion of vegetables is 80g, and whole vegetables bring fibre, water and a far wider range of plant compounds than any supplement. The NHS 5 A Day guidance is built around whole fruit and vegetables. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. The NHS does advise everyone in the UK to consider a daily 10 micrograms of vitamin D in autumn and winter, and that one nutrient alone does not need a £79 product.
If you have a specific deficiency, a single targeted supplement at the right dose, ideally after speaking to your GP, is a better fit than any all-in-one product.
Who suits which?
AG1 may suit you if you want the most ingredients in one scoop, a shaker already fits your morning, and £79 a month is comfortable.
Huel Daily Greens may suit you if you want a powder at a lower price per day.
GUUDIES may suit you if you have given up on a powder before, travel often, or want every amount declared with nothing to prepare.
Common questions
How much does AG1 cost in the UK?
£79 a month on subscription for 30 servings, which is £2.63 a day, checked on the AG1 UK website on 23 October 2026.
What is a cheaper alternative to AG1 in the UK?
On price per day, Huel Daily Greens (£1.50 on subscription, checked 23 October 2026) and GUUDIES (from £1.43 a day, checked 25 October 2026) both cost less than AG1 (£2.63). They contain different ingredients, so compare the labels as well as the price.
Are greens gummies as strong as greens powders?
Per serving, no. A powder carries grams of plant material where a gummy carries milligrams. Gummies are easier to take every day, and both dose and consistency matter.
Can I take a greens powder and a gummy multivitamin together?
You can, but add up the vitamin and mineral totals first. Several nutrients have upper limits, and more is not automatically better.
Is GUUDIES vegan?
Five of the six gummies are vegan. The Marine Collagen gummy contains fish collagen, so it is not vegan and not suitable for anyone with a fish allergy.
Are greens supplements suitable in pregnancy?
Check with your GP or midwife before taking any supplement while pregnant or breastfeeding. GUUDIES is formulated for adults aged 18 and over.
