The five mushrooms
Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus)
A white, shaggy mushroom that grows on hardwood trees and looks more like a sea anemone than a toadstool. It is edible and has been eaten in East Asia for centuries. It contains two compound groups, hericenones and erinacines, that are not found in other mushrooms.
Shiitake (Lentinula edodes)
The one you will already know from the supermarket. Native to East Asia and cultivated on hardwood logs for at least a thousand years. It is the most widely eaten of the five and has the longest record of dietary use.
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus)
Not a conventional mushroom at all but a hard, charcoal like growth found on birch trees in cold climates: Siberia, Scandinavia and northern Canada. It grows slowly over years, drawing compounds from the birch it lives on, including betulinic acid.
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum)
A woody, fan shaped bracket fungus with a lacquered red surface. Too tough to eat, so it has always been prepared as a tea or extract. Its characteristic bitterness comes from triterpenes.
Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris)
A small orange fungus that can be cultivated commercially, unlike the wild Himalayan species Cordyceps sinensis, which is rare and extremely expensive. Militaris is the species used in most credible supplements, and it contains cordycepin.
Functional mushrooms are not the psychoactive kind
Worth stating plainly, since the question comes up. None of these five contain psilocybin or anything psychoactive. They are food mushrooms and fungi with a long history of culinary and traditional use.

Why five in one gummy
Buying five mushroom supplements separately means five bottles, five prices and five things to remember. Putting them in one gummy is the point of the format. It also means you are not choosing between them, which is difficult to do sensibly unless you already know a lot about fungi.
How to take it
One Mushroom Mix gummy a day, taken together with the other five gummies in your mini pouch, with or after food. Each pouch holds 28 daily servings. Designed for consistent daily use as part of your GUUDIES routine.
Format, allergens and suitability
Pectin based, so no gelatine, and vegan. Around 0.3 calories and 0.4g of sugar per gummy, sweetened with tapioca syrup rather than the sugar alcohols common in UK gummies. No synthetic dyes, no artificial sweeteners, no gluten, dairy, nuts, GMOs or fillers. Halal.
Formulated for adults aged 18 and over. If you are allergic to culinary mushrooms, avoid this gummy. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking prescription medication, check with your GP before starting any new supplement.
One of six gummies in the routine
Each GUUDIES mini pouch holds six gummies, every one targeting a different system so they work together rather than overlapping:
- Daily Greens+ Multivitamin, the core vitamin, mineral and greens base, tropical flavour
- Marine Collagen, with biotin, peach flavour
- ACV, apple cider vinegar with the mother, tangy apple flavour
- Sea Moss, Irish sea moss, raspberry flavour
- Metabolic, saffron, lemon and blood orange, strawberry jam flavour
- Mushroom Mix, the one on this page, mixed berries flavour
All six are pectin based and gelatine free. Five are vegan. Marine Collagen is the one exception, since it contains collagen from fish.
Common questions
Which mushrooms are in the Mushroom Mix gummy?
Five: Lion's Mane, Shiitake, Chaga, Reishi and Cordyceps, each at 1000mg per daily serving.
Are these magic mushrooms?
No. None of the five contain psilocybin or anything psychoactive. They are functional and culinary mushrooms.
Is the Mushroom Mix gummy vegan?
Yes. It is plant based and pectin based, with no gelatine.
What does it taste like?
Mixed berries. It does not taste of mushrooms. Each of the six gummies in the pouch has its own flavour so you can tell them apart.
What is the difference between Cordyceps militaris and sinensis?
Militaris can be cultivated commercially and is the species used in most credible supplements. Sinensis is a rare wild Himalayan species and is extremely expensive.
Can I take it if I am allergic to mushrooms?
No. If you react to culinary mushrooms, avoid this gummy.
Can I buy the Mushroom Mix gummy on its own?
Not as a standalone. It is one of six gummies in every GUUDIES daily mini pouch.
Can I take it alongside prescription medication?
Check with your GP or pharmacist first. That applies to any new supplement, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or on regular medication.
